Starsky PAX: Herschel, JV, Freddie Mac, and Dunphy

Q: Legz

YHC was secretly hoping there would be an empty parking lot when I pulled into Overlander this morning after waking up a little groggy from the epic F3 Christmas party. When I first pulled in, I couldn’t see any cars in the usual spot, but once I got closer I see all these trucks parked in the parking lot with foldout chairs and a heat lamp burning. I had no idea who was here and thought these guys must be from another F3 area because they didn’t park in the right place and looked like they were tailgating. Once I got closer I saw who was there and was instantly confused. I then understood the mission and was grateful for the support. We had some PAX who came for a workout so on with the planned workout.

Warm-Up: Take a warm-up lap around the parking area of Gator and circled up at the heat lamp. I told the Starsky PAX they have to at least do the warm-up, but they didn’t budge as they were in full Starsky mode. We proceeded to do usual warm-up exercises and headed towards the benches in front of James Madison.

The Thang: Tabata with great tunes. I organized 4 different circuits for Tabata. Cardio, Upper Body, Lower Body, and Core. We performed each exercise 4 times in each of the circuits for 20 seconds each and had a 10 second break in between each exercise.

Circuit 1 Cardio: Burpees, SSH’s, Star Jumps, and Squat Jumps (Christmas music, too slow as it was putting everyone to sleep.)

Circuit 2 Upper Body: Merkins, Irkins, Dips, and Overhead claps (Techno, but Cat Scratch Complained)

Circuit 3 Lower Body: Squats, Monkey Humpers, Step-ups, and Alternating Lunge (60’s, 70’s, and 80’s Mix was just right and Cat Scratch sang every song)

Circuit 4 Core: Box cutters, American Hammer, Flutter Kicks, and Heals to Heaven (60’s, 70’s, and 80’s Mix)

Recover! Recover! Joined the Starsky PAX for conversation and coffee. The Christmas coffee mugs were lovely.

Thanks JV for hosting us last night. It was a great Christmas party.
