That deck card game

Three HIMs chose the difficult path Monday morning. YHC took pity on those brave enough to come out for a holiday week Pain Train and saved his special burpee warmup for another day. After a regular warmup, the PAX stationed themselves at the bottom of the east stairwell in the deck for a few rounds of that deck card game.

The Thang. The rules today:

  • Draw one card for the type of exercise: spades is upper body, hearts is core, clubs is lower body, and diamonds is burpees.
  • Draw another card for number of reps. 2-5: triple the number. 6-9: double it. 10 and face cards are 20.
  • Roll one die to see which floor we run up to and perform the exercises.

We did manage to get to 6 twice, and the first time was 20 burpees, which is The Worst Possible Outcome.

After eight or nine rounds, we headed back to the cars for a couple of quick Mary exercises. Recover. Recover. 6:15 on the dot.
