The Return of Bounty (and Frizzle)

Conditions: 39 deg. F | Cloudy, calm

PAX: Bounty, Bundy, Buubs, Cat Scratch, Frizzle, Pipeline

Q: Pipeline

Monday marked the return of the renowned marching band aficionado and Air Force reservist, Radford University’s finest, Bounty. Monday also marked the return of Frizzle, who literally rolled out of the Camry coughing.

Warmup: Yog around the block. We returned to find Cat Scratch’s car in the garage but no Cat Scratch. Assuming his body was probably in the river, the PAX proceeded to warm up without him, until, like Lazarus, he appeared in the stairwell. We did a burpee in his honor.

The THANG: Pipeline strongly considered bringing his 32 pound F3 cinderblocks and working out on the River’s Edge South soccer field with coupons, but after remembering how cold his ass got on the frozen ground Saturday morning, he relented. So it was a ladder of PAX-chosen exercises going up the ramps and across the decks. In order: merkins, forward lunges, Imperial walkers, American hammers, this awful backwards skating slide thing that Bundy introduced, wall sits and burpees. And back down.

COT and Frizzle took us away. He promised to post again before spring. Prayers for Bounty and his family–Bounty’s dad passed away about a month ago.

An honor and a privilege!
