Sparta, Salem, VA
Conditions: 33 deg. F, light wind. Salem moon (5/5)
PAX: Dunphy, Herschel, Manti, Pipeline, Zebra
Another Tuesday at Salem, another cold and breezy morning. But not too bad. Zebra ordered a nice moon for us, so there was that. We grabbed two sandbags from Dunphy’s hoopty and headed for some light. A warmup ensued, then we got down to the Thang:
The Thang: One PAX was the timer and did a sandbag travel while the rest did a core exercise. Timer traveled to a distant light pole and back. Change timers and repeat with a different core exercise. After everyone had traveled, we changed the travel with the sandbag. Travels were farmer carry (two sandbags), curls (one) and overhead press (one). We did three rounds of this, and capped it off with a two-minute Indian Run. Two minutes is also a good Saturday night at Herschel’s house.
Announcements: A family in Manti and Kim’s hometown in Indiana lost their 14 and 16-year-old sons in a car accident. Keep them in your TAP and never take your own for granted.
Pipeline took us away. An honor and a privilege!
