Trivia Mountain Returns

QIC: Double Humpee

PAX: Dunphy, Dairy Queen, Freddie Mac, Pipeline, Mainframe, Rick James, Cat Scratch

I assumed we’d have low numbers due to the Spartan weekend, but several non-racers turned up for some fun. Kudos to Pipeline for showing up even though hes’ Beasting it tomorrow.

The Thang

The Rules of Trivia Mountain are simple, there are no rules. Eye gouging, groin pulling, elbows are all welcome. Wait, that’s something else entirely that I’m forbidden to talk about. The rules are simple unless you’re Dunphy and you think the game is confusing.

At the bottom of the tiered hills, we answer trivia questions (or attempt to answer them). If you answer correctly without Pax assistance, then we only run to the first tier and perform an exercise. If you get it right with help from the Pax then we ascend to the second tier and perform an exercise. Finally, if you get it wrong with or without help we go all the way to the top parking level and perform an exercise.

We played several rounds and hit the first level once (on an easy Larry David question) and then hit the second and third levels for the rest of the game. Disappointed in Catscratch for not knowing that Nintendo’s Jumpman was Mario, but his concept of video games is watching slides of his honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta.

No fault on Dunphy’s failure to answer a question about an Urban Outfitters T-shirt about Alabama. After the workout Mainframe asked me how old the cards were and upon careful inspection they appear to be from 2005. Maybe I need to get some new cards that reflect more up-to-date information.

No time for Mary as we descended the mountain and met back in the parking lot.

Thanks for humoring me and playing TRIVA MOUNTAIN.
