A week ago, Dunphy’s brother, Chowdah, reached out explaining he hasn’t seen him in a year and was going to surprise him at the workout today. As Q today, I had a big task to ensure Dunphy didn’t fartsack and also wanted a large group today for this exciting moment. We succeeded in both as the PAX showed up (14 strong) and Dunphy came through with the sandbags.

Warm-Up: Lap around the field and circled up in the middle to perform some exercises. SSH (Cat Scratch’s Pace), WMH, Abe Vigoda, merkins, slow squats, imperial walkers.
The Thang: Murder Bunny
I found a terrible looking coupon exercise called the murder bunny. It’s similar to a gorilla crawl, but with a sandbag in hand the whole time. I wanted all of us to get out of our comfort zone today and this definitely did it.
We started on the sideline and I set up some cones about 3/4 of the width of the field as a finishing point. Each pax would travel via murder bunny to the cones. Once they got to the finishing point, they performed an exercise. While two PAX were traveling and performing such exercise, the rest of the pax were doing different stationary exercises while waiting their turn.
Round 1: Murder bunny, 10 burpees over sandbag.
Round 2: Murder bunny, 10 sandbag curls with a press. Started out with 20 of these, but quickly realized there was not enough time for all pax to complete 20 of these.
I had 4 rounds of this planned, but with as many pax we had, it took a while to get through two rounds of murder bunny. Q Fail! Next time.
With 10 minutes remaining we sprinted the length of the soccer field and performed exercises after each sprint. We then circled in the center again and finished with some Mary.
I appreciate the brotherhood of this group and how we all came out to support each other for this a great moment. Great job fellas!
