Q: Double Humpee
Pax: Dairy Queen, Cat Scratch, Legz
With the forecast grim late in the evening I had images of a Single Humpee running up the Virginia Western Parking Lot hill (what do we call that, not the LFH the other one?) without other Pax. I questioned whether or not I would have the gumption to workout on my own in such chilly weather.
Alas, as I pulled into the drive this morning I saw three (that’s right 3) other car. Three manly men and Dairy Queen were ready for a bitterly cold workout. My comment as I exited my car was “It’s not that bad,” to which Legz retorted, “You just got out of the car DH.” Well we were both right, as it wasn’t that bad, but I may have been too eager to proclaim victory.
The Thang
5:30 arrived and we moseyed over to the parking lot in front of the elementary school. We did some slowwwww Abe Vagodas and Dairy Queen’s complaint was that he wanted to warm up. He wasn’t dressed as warmly as the rest of us, so shame on him. We did some SSHs (100 total spread out over several segments), Imperial Walkers, Jack Webs, and some Merkins.
We then headed over to the Fralin Center for some warm fun. I had scouted out the campus late yesterday looking for spots that didn’t have too much ice and the stairs and circle by this building were perfect.
We did an exercise in front of the building and then ran down the steep stairs, down the sidewalk and back up the longer stairs.
We did 50 more SSHs ran a lap
50 Merkins and ran a lap
50 LBCs and ran a lap
Bear crawled down the steep stairs and ran a lap
Did a wall sit while we each ran a lap
I think we did something else and ran a lap
Then we lunge walked back to the road, and ran back to the parking lot.

Dealer’s choice and DQ didn’t stop with the American Hammers so I had to cut him off.
Acnnoucements
DQ’s wife is expecting her baby any moment now. He expressed an appreciation for any prayers coming his direction.
Continue to keep Legz’ Mom in your prayers.
It was an honor and somewhat of a privilege to lead this morning. We all got a little bit better and were thankful that we have the luxury to be outside by choice.
