PAX: Creeper, Double Humpy, Tollbooth, Pipeline, Legz, Cat Scratch

Q: Cat Scratch

Warmup

A short yog, then perform a series of exercises that included arm circles, merkins, LBCs, Mtn Climbers, IWs, and several more core exercises (flutter kicks, FMs, Penguin crunches, etc.)

Thang

Run across field, perform 10 reps, run back, perform 10 reps.

Exercises included, merkins, squats, plank jacks, LBCs, SSHs, burpees, and a few other ones. After each round there was a quiz with failure to answer correctly, as determined by the Q, resulted in a 5 burpee penalty. Questions included state capitals, the year of certain albums, and some other stuff. Most of the answers were correct with a few mistakes.

We then moved on to Memorial bridge, stopping along the way to perform a variety of exercises. At the bridge, we performed a moving exercise to each light post and then an exercise at the end. Movement included skipping, toy soldier, running backwards, running forwards, and something else. Exercises included squats, LBCs, jump squats, and some other stuff. We also did peoples chair a few times, and during that time are asked each PAX a response to questions such as “Why did the chicken cross the road?”, and “What is Mindfulness mean to you?”. This is where the reflection, meditation, and visualization came in.

We also ran back across the bridge, continued back to where we started while performing a variety of exercises along the way.

Mary: Several exercises, but two were a bit different or new. One was American Hammer where we took our sneakers off, placed them by our side, then on each rep you pick up one shoe and move it to the other side, go back and pickup the 2nd shoe, then repeat from one side to the other. We did two reps of 10. This forces you to twist more. It appeared to work.

The other interesting exercise was a dragon walk, which we all attempted for the first time. It’s a challenging exercise and one we all need to work on more and include in workouts with more frequency. Look forward to more of these!

Namarama, announcements, and a thought of the day.

Very nice morning.

We also all went to Scratch Biscuit for coffeteria. Very enjoyable!
