Rainy Day Ladder for Two

Overlander | Roanoke, VA

Conditions: 50 deg. F | Rain, lightning, thunder, wind

PAX: Cat Scratch, Pipeline

Q: Pipeline

Pipeline’s Q number Ocho in a row featured wind and rain. Fortunately Cat Scratch was foolish brave enough to join him at #Overlander.

The PAX made a beeline for the nearest shelter–the awning by the front entrance of James Madison Middle School.

Warmup: SSH, Jack Webbs, Arm Circles, RAC, Good Mornings, Rubios.

The Thang: Exercise ladder. A yog in place or in the storm followed each round.

Round 1: 10 burpees

Round 2: 10 burpees, 20 big boys

Round 3: 10 burpees, 20 big boys, 30 overhead claps

I think it was at this point that Cat Scratch wanted to take a loop around the parking lot rather than yog in place. He later determined that to be a mistake.

Round 4: 10 burpees, 20 big boys, 30 overhead claps, 40 squats

Round 5: 10 burpees, 20 big boys, 30 overhead claps, 40 squats, 50 merkins

Then we did an extended yog around the awning followed by a couple of minutes of Mary, and headed for Dunkin Donuts.
