One step up, two steps back

YHC had an earworm for the past day, so I made a workout out of it. Not “Opposites Attract” by Paula Abdul as Puffs guessed, but “One Step Up” by the Boss.

The PAX yogged to the fourth floor of the Reserve parking deck and did a quick warmup of knife throwing, pole vaulting, Brazilian jujitsu and the caber toss. (Is anyone reading this?)

The THANG:

Each round consists of 20 merkins, 20 big boys and 20 squats, along with a travel. You exercise, ascend one floor, add two reps to the exercises, descend two floors, subtract four reps from the exercises, and repeat. One floor (and two reps) up, and two floors/four reps down. Got it?

Travel included ascending bear crawls, descending crawl bears, descending crab walks (back first for that magic tricep burn), lunge walks, wheelbarrow carries, traveling side-straddle hops, backwards runs ascending and descending, partner carries and traveling burpees. We finished at 6:15 on the dot after ascending from G up the ramp to 1.
