PAX — Buubs, Dunphy, Seabiscuit, Matlock, Puffs, Pinky

Q – Pinky

I promised rain. There was none. But on an upside the humidity couldn’t possible be any higher. This run was more like swimming.

5:30 we start our “light jog” down Carolina (at a 9 minute/mile pace). When we get to 27th we hang a right and head to Avenham. Puffs suggests we stop at his house for biscuits. We will circle back for that latter.

Take Avenham to Franklin (almost) and take a left on an unnamed (to me) street that just appears to go straight the hell up. So up we go. Reassemble at the top. Then down, right on Avenham, left on White oak and keep right to circle back to Avenham.

Now for the fun part. (I mean honestly i thought the hill was fun, but not sure others did)

Turn left and run down Wildwood. Another left and park in the grassy meadow (also known as Twitches front yard). Make as much noise as desired. Then line up in grass facing the street. 30 monkey humpers in cadence. Should have brought Solo’s boombox for this.

And we are off again (and yell at Dunphy for teabagging the driver side handle of Twitch’s car. So rude dude).

Left on Avenham to 26th, right turn, 1 block. Stop and assemble in front of Puffs house. Again face street. 10 Caroline dry docks IC. Biscuits were apparently off the table at this point, or at least they weren’t offered this time around.

Right on Wycliff, left on 27th, pass the school, another block then a left and pull in to the driveway o’Buubs. Its the perfect location (dark and somewhat shielded by trees) for the forbidden. So we pair up and get it on with 10 SQUERKINS!

Run down to 26th, right turn, 2 blocks and park in Matlock’s yard. 10 Basic Instincts IC.

Run across Jefferson and down the Halloween street. Stop in front of my pad and 25 merkins OYO. Sorry no candy yet! I should have turned the halloween lights on before I left for Sweet Donkey. Damn.

Then retrace steps on 26th and head back towards Seabiscuits. Alas, we ran out of time.

at 6:15 we were a block from Sweet Donkey and right at 4.5 miles. So I tried to get everyone to walk and stretch the last block (especially since 4 of us need to be fresh for the beer mile tomorrow night). But 4 PAX kept running. Guess I didn’t work them hard enough. More hills next time (or laps on that new hill….a great new spot for 50 shades of merkins!). Lesson learned. Full gas next Swift Donkey.

I have Q on Monday. It will be a fun, easy morning if F3Roanoke/Salem can muster 1 more full team for the beer mile (registration ends today!). If not, we will see……

Happy thursday!
