Pipeline tried to convince everyone to fartsack with warnings of burpees and stairs, but you can’t keep a good man down. Seven Spartan PAX showed up to take the worst Salem Stadium could throw at them, and all lived to tell the tale.
Warmup: Capri Lap (thanks, JV; everyone else, read the Exicon) around the field while Dunphy and JV adjusted their bedroom slippers. Then the Burpee Death March: Indian Run, but the lead runner peels off to do 5 burpees, then rejoins the line at the 6 and calls out the same. The new lead runner then peels off for his 5 burpees; repeat until all PAX have done two sets of 5 burpees each.
The Thang: Burpee Mod Tuesday. PAX paired up. One PAX did a modified burpee exercise while the other ran a flight of Salem Stadium stairs and returned. Switch and repeat until the pair have completed the set number of exercises.
Round 1: Burpee Mays Hayes. One Willie Mays Hayes followed by a burpee while the partner runs one set of stairs. Rinse and repeat until 50 completed as a pair.
Round 2: Side Straddle Burpees: A burpee, but after the merkin, complete eight plank jacks, return to squat position and jump up, while the partner runs one set of stairs. Rinse and repeat until 50 completed as a pair.
Round 3: Big Burpees: A burpee, but the merkin is hand release. Once chest is on the ground, roll over onto your 6, do one Big Boy, roll back over to your chest, complete the hand-release merkin, and jump up, while the partner runs one set of stairs. Rinse and repeat until 25 completed as a pair.
R0und 4: Burpee Humpers: A burpee, but upon returning to the squat position, do 10 monkey humpers. Repeat OYO x 15. PAX did these as one group, then ran one last set of stairs together.
Recover. Recover.
