Repetition

Date: 3/23/2018

Conditions: cool and breezy (37F)

Q: Acorn

PAX: Pipeline, Frack, Dunphy, Cake, Herschel, Acorn

I promised pre-game hype, but failed to deliver….so we only had a six pax….

Warm-up:  Five of us jogged from Gator Aquatic to WVCC parking lot with 2 sandbags in tow (pass ’em around boys).  Really was hoping to get 2 more – apparently Puffs children got the best of him this am.

We circled up for:

  • SSH x 29 IC (too much chatter for me to keep count)
  • WMH x 10 IC
  • Good Mornings x 10 IC (careful with those backs)

It was at this point that we see a bearded gorilla (Cake) jog up to the PAX.  “Are you warm enough?”  Then let us begin.

It was at this point that YHC started telling stories about his first job – RC Cola as a 16 year old boy.  My job was to ensure that all 20 oz bottles that were coming out of the warmer didn’t tip over as they transitioned from one conveyor belt to another.  And if they did, I stood them back up.  That’s it.  For the first 8 hours of my shift. Every day, all day, stand.up.bottles.  With that in mind, let’s just do it all over again.

  1. 5 Air Squats, 1 Merkin, lunge to the next line
  2. 5 Air Squats, 2 Merkin, lunge to the next line
  3. 5 Air Squats, 3 Merkin, lunge to the next line

  9. 5 Air Squats, 9 Merkin, lunge to the next line
  10. 5 Air Squats, 10 Merkin, lunge to the next line

YHC then transitioned to his next super fun job – working at Kraft General Foods making Cool-Aid bursts.  This time the job entailed checking each bottle for leaks.  As the bottles were filled and the tips melted shut, they would transfer to a conveyor belt on their side where it was YHC’s job to then check for leaks by pressing on each bottle.  Tip: if you get squirted with hot Kool-Aid on your face, the bottle is leaking.  That’s it.  For 8 hours a day, 6 days a week.  Push.On.Each.Bottle.  With that thrilling monotony behind us, we probably should do it again.

  3. 5 Air Squats, 3 Merkin, lunge to the next line

Just enough time to job back to Gator Aquatic and do some
