Q — part Frack, part Pinky…ALL PAIN!
PAX — 20 (its late in the day, so damn if I can remember…but we did have a FNG now named Elroy)
Several days ago Dunphy complained people didn’t sign up for Qing. It was my Q, so I (Pinky) threatened people in my backblast to sign up or I would sign up for all the open spots and put the throttle down. A day later, no one responded, so I sent another warning. A day later nothing. So I signed up for 3 consecutive Qs. You were all warned.
Then a day or two later people took notice.
Frack wanted to Q on his home turf. Pinky was signed up. Fracked erased my Q, filled in his name, and claimed home court advantage. I said “Oh, Frack No!” Dunphy stepped in and mediated by suggesting a co-Q. We settled on a dueling Q. Everyone will lose (as Dunphy expertly pointed out).
Frack started us off by a wandering jog up to the top deck. He started in with side straddle hops (30 IC). I answered with high knees, an equal amount. He countered with some sort of arm flipping exercise that made us all look like we were extras in a bad Bollywood film. With sore shoulders, I answered with arm circles and Jack Webbs. He kindly gave everyone’s arms a break with copper head squats. I see your squats and raise you monkey humpers (equal amount). He countered with lunges (10 forward, 10 back — and we learned none of us are coordinated). I answered with 20 merkins IC. PAX call truce and the warm up ended.
Frack called a descending set of merkins and LBCs. Start at 10 merkins, do 1.5 rolls on the ever so smooth concrete of the parking lot then do 10 LBCs. Roll, 9 merkins. Roll, 9 LBCs. All the way to 1. Whats worse being sore, losing skin on your elbows, or vomiting from the rolls????
I answered with by calling for everyone to circle up tight. Get in to the plank position and have one PAX (Twitch first) hop each planker. When hopped, each planker knocks out 8 merkins. Remember there are 20 of us. After 15 Frack called an audible and replaced planks with supermans. Everyone appreciated (but some kept doing merkins)
Frack said “Too easy man” and called a 5 count descending partner carry. After 5 burpees, pair up and carry your partner 50 yards then do 5 partner squats. Switch and repeat. Keep going to 1.
That was good! And it gave a break to our arms so I could call an exercise I have thought of many times up on the deck…bear crawl down the hills! Off we go.
We called truce at the bottom.
Congrats to all. Good work!!!
