Ultimate Frisball

After a late night working, the alarm rang out. Screw it I’m not going to F3. Its raining anyway. Alarm off. Back in bed. Close my eyes…and there it is…the image of Cat Scratch. Damn. Gotta get up…

Crawl downstairs while getting dressed. Message on my phone, Q is out (kid duty). Gotta come up with something fast. Decide F3Roanoke needs a little ultimate frisbee in the rain. Go to grab frisbee and goals. Its too dark for this. See my kids light up football. That will work. Ultimate frisbee with a football (I assume since it lights up no one will take one in the face in the dark. Of course I was wrong — sorry BTeam).

PAX show up. Quick warm up (SSH, WMH, merkins), then to the soccer field. Rules – every change of possession 10 merkins (in hind sight this was a bit ambitious — especially for todays conditions…wet ball, wet grass…not a good combo for passing efficiency). When someone scores they call an exercise of 10 (Solo was dying for someone to call Rubios and fortunately it happened near the end thanks to Cake. Team called burpees once. It was great.)

Thats it 40 minutes of play time in the rain. 4 on 5, with the 4s winning (28-14?). Score was disputed by Solo since there were no PATs. Lots and lots of merkins.

Pinky sucks at catching in the rain. So do others.
