There is no better way to start this backlist than to recognize that Space Jam showed for the SEVENTH straight workout. When will this stop? For sure he is in for Salem, right? What about Victory Valley?
At 5:20 I roll in to see Solo’s Swagger Wagon. He is trapped in it as some sketchy dude is circling it. Dude finally leaves and Solo emerges. Was it Dr. Merkin? We will never know.
At 5:27 my car tells me its already 70 degrees. Perhaps thats why Commodore showed up shirtless. 5:29 CatScratch reluctantly leaves his car. He is wishing he hit snooze. I wonder whether he also sees an image of Cat Scratch when the alarm goes off…
At 5:30 we set off on a warm up jog. Indian Sprints across the river and street to the old tennis courts. Yes, Solo the new tennis courts were too close for us to use this morning.
We warm up. I keep all numbers low (20 IC for each exercise) to prevent the normal CatScratch mumble about this not being warm up. We started with merkins, then imperial walkers, arm circles (forward and reverse), side straddle hops, american hammers, and slooooow merkins. Now we are warm enough….
The thang: Animal Bomb!
Step 1: Partner up. One partner bear crawls to the end of the 3rd tennis court then runs back. The other partner does burpees. Repeat until 75 burpees are completed. Flutter kicks until all are done
Step 2: One partner crab walks to the end of the 2nd tennis court then runs back. The other partner does overhead arm claps. Repeat until 100 (double count) are completed. LBCs until all are done.
Step 3: One partner gorilla crawls to the end of the 2nd tennis court, then runs back. The other partner does merkins. Repeat until 150 are done. LBCs until all are done
Step 4: One partner inch worm crawls (with merkins) to the middle of the second tennis court, then runs back. The other does big boy setups. Repeat until 200 are done. Box cutters until all are done.
Step 5: Recover.
Oh no. We still have to get back to the cars. Railroad run home. 8 merkins each time you drop into the plank position. We get back to the cars with 90 seconds to spare so we keep going….
I must admit I was worried this morning. There was no lake left on the tennis court where Commodore was working out. I either didn’t push the PAX hard enough or he is ill.
