Triangle, B…..

Well its here. NCAA tourney final…and for some reasons we have way too many PAX that support the TarHeels….so the title is an obscure reference from Suicide Squad regarding the offense that I hope beats UNC. It also motivated the design of todays bucket-o-fun.

12 PAX showed up this wonderful Monday morning (and we welcomed an FNG…more on that later).

We loosened up by taking some laps around the fields…lets just say that was the warm up.

Then we played a quick game of duck duck goose. While the “picker” was calling out ducks we side straddle hopped. Once he picked the goose we did 10 merkins. We did a few rounds of this and then switched from SSH to up-downs (which was described as essentially burpees and therefore apparently disqualified this game as being considered warm up). After a few rounds of up-downs we did arm circles. A few side notes…Solo learned never, ever pick Twitch to chase you. Dude is lightening fast (for 50 yards at least). Blindspot learned to stick to basketball and leave nascar to others (he can’t hold a left turn for long).

On to the next game….a bear hunt. Start in the middle of the LAX field. Bears go to the right, runners to the left. Bears bear crawl to the end line, runners dash to their end line, then turn and chase down the bear. Once bear is caught carry them the length of the field and do merkins until everyone is done. Switch and repeat.

On to the real challenge of the day….the triangle of buckets. 3 bucket-o-fun were placed in a triangle in the field, roughly 50 yd apart. Each bucket contained fun. Specifically one buckets had merkin fun. One bucket had squat fun. And one bucket had core fun. 12 cards were in each bucket. 1 card had 100 of something (merkins, monkey jumpers, or LBCs) — those were the best cards. Other cards included the likes of 40 merkins, 15 pop-up merkins, 10 merkins (too easy!), 30 heels to heaven, 10 burpees, 25 squat jumps, 35 squat jacks, 10 squats. Each bucket also contained a card to run a lap (90% effort) and returns o draw another card. And each bucket had a 10 second rest card. Goof fun was had by ALL!

We ended with a little Mary — 20 American Hammers IC, 20 flutter kicks, 20 penguin crunches, 20 LBCs.

Thats it. We needed another thirty minutes with those buckets! Oh how I have missed those guys.

Welcome B-Team!!! (first name BI, led PAX to suggest BA Barracks…too cool…then A TEAM, also too cool…hence B TEAM!)
