QIC: Double Humpee
PAX: Legz, Rapione
Now that I’m not in training mode any longer I needed to get myself back on the Q sheet. Friday seemed like a good enough time to bring back an old “favorite,” that’s right Trivia Mountain. The game where the rules constantly change and the “pop culture” trivia gets dustier and dustier.
Warm o Rama
Jog down the main drive and loop back up the hill and then triangle up for some warm-ups. We performed a bunch of SSHs until I got tired of cadence counting. Imperial walkers followed, Good Mornings occurred followed by Merkins and then we closed with arm circles. Legz didn’t like the order of those exercises and was sure to mention that.
The Thang
We jogged over to the base of the steep hills where the game Trivia Mountain is normally played. I explained the rules to Rapione since he has never had the pleasure and then we began.
The first question was about the movie the Deer Hunter which doesn’t feel all that pop-cultureish, even knowing that the cards are from 2005. Needless to say, the fellas and I had to run to the top of the hill for most of the rounds. We did some jump lunges, LBCs, Burpees, and SSHs at the top. They did manage to get a few questions right, so it wasn’t a total lost cause.
I do need to see about getting some new pop culture cards since 2005 isn’t on the cutting edge of current content. But, do any of us really know current pop culture?
We did the last round and made our way back to the Gators parking lot where we had 45 seconds to do flutter kicks. Then it was Recover Recover time.
Announcements
The IronMan is this Sunday so at least a few of our fellas will be traveling 70.3 miles by plane, train, and automobile on Sunday. You can download the IronMan app and track our F3 athletes.
Next Saturday there’s going to be a crew headed to Lynchburg for a workout with that site…Details coming on Slack.
It was an honour (I’m feeling British today) to lead and serve the Pax today.
