QIC: Double Humpee
PAX: Frack, Pipeline, Freddie Mac, Rick James, Cat Scratch, Kwon Do
Yours truly wanted to revisit the Science building at Virginia Western for a workout as these used to be a staple of our Friday gatherings so I felt it was time. I also wanted to make sure to share some love with each man present. There’s been a lot of pain and loss lately and I wanted to affirm everyone in attendance. During the workout, I called out each Pax and said “I’m glad you’re here.” Nothing like sharing some feelings with dudes in the dark 🙂

The Thang
Head over to Virginia Western Science Building where they’ve recently built a discotheque. The workout consisted of the group up top doing an exervcise while their partners ran down the steep stairs to Colonial and ran down to the stairs at the Corner. Rinse and repeat.
There were Derkins, SlowSquats, Big Boys, Hand Release Merkins, Star Jumps, Squat Jumps. One round, the timers bear crawled down the stairs and Freddie Mac tried base jumping into traffic.
For the last round, we performed a wall sit, while the timers did the same loop.
Yog back to the parking lot
***As we were pulling out of the parking lot, Frack was in front of our caravan and suddenly got out of his car. He then was on the ground reaching for something and I was thinking, “Did his transmission fall out?” Turns out, Frack was too busy playing with his phone and he absolutely murdered a traffic cone and it was lodged underneath his car. With Kwon Do’s help, Frack was able to remove the carcass of the cone. Legendary!***

Announcements
Tomorrow is the Compress and Shock training. Please see the link on Slack and sign up. This will be a great event and well worth your time.
Also, let’s make sure we’re living well and loving well. As a group that aims to make men better, we need to continue stretching our muscles in the emotional arena. Make sure those that you care about know that you love them. Be faithful, be consistent, and be a man of integrity.
It was an honor and privilege to lead today.
