Block-o-jog-o-rama

Conditions: 66 deg. F | Clear skies

PAX: Buubs, Cat Scratch, Pipeline

Q: Pipeline

Three High-Impact Men chose to take the Daily Red Pill this morning.

The Thang: 30-minute, 2.5-mile yog down and around the Tinker Creek Greenway to the Roanoke River and back to see the multi-million dollar greenway bridge and to give Cat Scratch’s body a chance to warm up. (Thanks for nothing, Pinky.) Then 30 minutes of block-o-rama: stationary exercises with a 32-pound cement block, followed by a travel.

Round 1: Blockees (block burpees–merkin with hands on the block and then raise the block in the air when you jump) for 2 minutes followed by a 50-yard lunge walk.

Round 2: Block Boys (big boys holding the block above your chest) for two minutes followed by 50-yard bear crawl.

Round 3: Block 45s (in cadence, 15 low block curls, 15 high block curls, 15 full-extension block curls) followed by a 50-yard backwards run and back.

Round 4: Blockerfly kicks (butterfly kicks holding the block off your chest) for 2 minutes followed by 50-yard jog and back.

Round 5: Blerkins (merkins on the block) for 2 minutes followed by Everest walking 50 yards.

Round 6: Block Webbs (raise block over head) 10 times in cadence, then traveling burpee 50 yards.

Return to the cars with the blocks. Recover. Recover.
