LABOR OF LOVE ON LABOR DAY 2018

Q: Cat Scratch
PAX: Pinky, Pipeline, Puffs, Seabiscuit, Hutz, Saul, HC3, Klump, Commodore, Cat Scratch

10 PAX gathered for a Labor of Love on Labor Day.
Warm Ups
• Run around field once then over to railings for 10 dips and then 10 step-ups each leg.
• Run over to tennis courts where we ran one suicide (end of 1st court, 2nd court 3rd court), just to show Pinky that it’s possible to just do a suicide and not have to combine it with death bombs!
• Run over to the parking garage, run up to 1st floor, skip while touching each concrete support above (web) across the floor, run up to 2nd floor and Karaoke across to half way and then turn and Karaoke the other half. Run down to ground level (Some PAX tried to anticipate the next exercise and ran up to the third floor and had to come back down; it was rewarding to know Pinky was part of that group).
• 20 something SSH with an accelerated pace around 15 just to show Pinky how foolish it is!
• 15 Windmills
• 15 Imperial Walkers
• Bolt 45s (Begin with 15 squats full standing position down to halfway position and return. Then go from halfway down position to full squat position and return up to halfway position 15x. Finish off with 15 full squats) in cadence count!
• 20 Arm Circles
• 20 Reverse Arm Circles
• Howling Monkeys – In a circle, everyone grabs their ankles in Monkey Humper fashion (or Gorilla Humper, for the fearless). The first person does ten monkey humpers followed by the next person and so on as in other “ring of fire” exercises. Don’t let go of the ankles! Started performing them in cadence count to 10 until we got passed Pinky and then reduced them to single count. Two rounds seemed to result in Howling Monkeys.
• 15 Willie Mays Hayes

The Thang – Roll, Pick, Exercise
1. PAX Pick a 3×5 index card that has written on it the name of an exercise.
2. They then roll a die numbered 1-12 to determine the number of reps for that exercise and complete the exercise. Some exercises do not require a roll of the die, such as “Lunge Walk Halfway Up Ramp and Run Back”.
3. They then roll a traditional die numbered 1-6 to determine the parking garage level they will run up to using the west stairs.
4. Repeat.
After a period of time, we gathered for a People’s Chair, counting up/down to 10 by each PAX. Pinky felt the need to spell out each number from one to ten. That will cost him! Then perform 20 LBC’s YOY. We then continued with the Thang.

After a period of time, we gathered for a People’s Chair, counting up/down to 10 by each PAX. Then perform 20 Freddie Mercury’s. We then ran up to the 3rd floor and up against the wall for Caterpillar; feet on top of wall, hands on floor, person at end of line gets down and bear crawls under PAX, then the next one and continue with the fun. Went 2 rounds and had enough. Run backwards to end of 3rd floor, then down to ground level.

Up against the wall for some additional People’s Chair with additional counting up/down to 10. Again, Pinky felt the need to make his count different by counting 1,2..1,2,3..1,2,3,4… and so on up until 10. And you wonder why I pick on him!

On our six for some Mary: Penguin Crunches; big boy sit ups in cadence (Pipeline called it originally 20, but in cadence realized it needed to be 10 and adjusted the count at 8. Yet another example of someone thinking and not being foolish like Pinky!); then Girls, Girls, Girls – each leg, complements of Hutz. We then recovered and stood, except Pinky, who had to stay on his six and perform American Hammers while the rest of the PAX cadence counted to 10. After about 5 the rest of the PAX decided to join Pinky, I honestly don’t know why, I did not and truly enjoyed it!
Recover, Recover.
Namorama. COT
Commodore took us out in prayer.

We then went to Sweet Donkey for some good coffee, laughs and fellowship.
A good time was had by all!
