11/25/2020 – Pre Thanksgiving workout for a bunch of jive turkeys.
QIC: Double Humpee
Pax: Herschel, Legz, Pipeline, Dairy Queen
Twas a beautiful morning prior to so many holiday activities we descended into the gloom with the best of spirits and the worst of intentions. I stole this workout from the Raleigh website, and was told it was my “best Q ever,” which means all my original workouts have sucked. Oh well I guess i’ll be retiring Trivia Mountain and Jack Saypat thanks to Dairy Queen.
Side Note – Legz HC’d late last night and this morning I misread his note and thought our Snow Bird HC3 was coming. So I made mention of his impending arrival several times only to be disappointed. But as it turns out, I just can’t read too good. HC3 if you’re ears were burning, its because we were dissing you.
Warm O Rama
Jog to Franklin and what has become known as the “Dunphy Loop.” Wind back up at JV’s place and did some exercises. Overhead Claps, Arm Circles, Willie Mays Hayes’, SShs.
The Thang

We partnered up at the halfway line of the uncovered portion of the field. The goal as a team was to complete 100 Merkins, 200 LBCs, and 300 Squats. All while the other partner ran to the scoreboard and back.
Next came Rack ‘Em Stack ‘Em
Using the field as a rectangle we hit four corners. From start, run to first corner to perform exercise 1, return to start, wait for the 6. Then from start run to first corner for first exercise, then to second corner for second exercise. Return to start around the perimeter of the rectangle, wait for the 6. Now run to first corner for first exercise, second corner for second exercise, third corner for third. Run the perimeter back to start. Final round run to first corner for first exercise, second for second, third for third, fourth (start) for fourth, and run entire perimeter back to start.
Exercises were
Burpees x5 OYO
-Flutter Kicks x10 IC OYO
-Imperial Squat Walkers x15 IC OYO
-Big Boy Sit ups x20 OYO
Then we moseyed over to JV’s building and bear crawled to the gate arm thingy and ran backwards to the road.
Then we moseyed to the tennis court wall and did chair sits while each person jumped out and did 10 merkins. Pipeline went first and did 10 normal merkins and then Herschel just had to up the ante by doing 10 clapper merkins which meant that all of the rest of us had to match that as well.
Q then called Recover Recover

Next Saturday Pipeline, Freddie Mac, and Zebra are running a marathon on the greenway and they still need pacers. If I can do it, so can you!
