Lionel Richie, Roanoke, VA
Conditions: 45 deg. F, breezy, cloudy
PAX: Bill Ray Valentine, Herschel, JV, Legz, Pipeline
After some spring weather, old man winter returned and five PAX were met with temps in the 40s and some wind. We left from Wasena Park, headed upstream on the Greenway to Bridge St., turned right and headed down Patterson to Campbell, and then cut down Franklin back to the Greenway. Total mileage was 6.5 at 9:25/mile. YHC had considered going on down to Jefferson and crossing back over the river there for about 8 miles, but I adapted according to the moods and various injuries and ailments of the PAX.
For those interested, there are ample real estate opportunities on Patterson for fraternity houses, gentleman’s clubs, convenience marts and other enterprises.
