PAX: Freddie Mac, Herschel, Legz, Pipeline, Puffs, Bounty
Q: Bounty
Conditions: 47 degrees F, clear, too cold for shorts, Herschel
6 PAX got after it looking forward to a routine run at a very slow pace with no stairs, hills, or demoralization in any way. Herschel volunteered to Q to no avail.
PAX ran 1 block around meeting point and was almost taken out within the first 3 minutes by traffic. Good job, Bounty! Thankfully there was an ambulance near by just in case. After a small hill before returning to Sweet Donkey, PAX crossed the road and ventured to the parking deck on Reserve. It’s been awhile since Bounty visited and he wanted to pay his respects to the stairs.
At the deck, PAX ran up the stairs for 7 floors then ran back down using the ramps. Once at the first floor, PAX crossed over and ran the 2nd flight of stairs. There was chatter of a burst Pipe(line) but PAX continued on. Once at the top of the deck, PAX ran back down the flight of stairs and no one had complained or mentioned anything about running the stairs the day prior, especially Legz.
After leaving the deck, PAX ran up Reserve, crossed traffic, and back towards the hospital. Bounty chose to lead the group literally into the street instead of the dedicated walkway at which point Puffs and Freddie Mac observed using our tax dollars “the way we wanted to use them.” The men wrapped around onto the running path and worked their way back towards Sweet Donkey.
PAX took one more block around the coffee shop running uphill and back on Avenham. Once finished, most of the men said we ran 4.6 miles but Bounty said 5.2. Always go with the higher number.
