Holy hell it was hard to get up this morning. 2 days on the river and lake sucked every once of energy out of me. Were it not for Pipeline’s Slack reminder I’d still be sleeping b/c I completely forgot I was Q’ing. I may have taken a little frustration out on the PAX today :-). You can thank Pipeline for that.
Our workout started at 5:25 when we all stood in a small circle and started sweating before lifting a finger. The humidity was exercise number 1. 5:30 rolls around and we mosey off towards the parking garage. Cake makes an appearance so we hit the burpees until he decides to grace us with his presence. Across the street and up all 6 flights to the top of the parking lot for our warm up. WE line up facing the sunrise and begin:
20 SSH
10 windmills
20 imperial walkers
10 Willie Mayes Hayes
10 Rubios
Off we go, down the stairs, across the parking lot, and back to the field where we face off against 10 rows of intimidating cones placed every 10 yards for the length of the field. We spread out along the end line. We perform a serious of full field exercises- sprinting between each cone, performing a stationary exercise, sprinting to the next code and so forth until reaching the other end line where we plank it out until everyone is done.
1st rep: 5 squats at every cone (10 cones)
2nd rep: 10 lunges at every other cone (5 cones)
3rd rep: 25 monkey humpers at every 3rd cone (3 cones)
4th rep: 15 burpees at the 5th cone (1 cone)
5th rep: sprint the field and do 25 hand release merkins at the other end line
We mosey to the top of the flood retention hill beside the river and jog along the top till we are adjacent to the parking lot railing. Starting at the rail we perform an exercise, then run up hill, do 5 burpees, run down the hill, repeat the same exercise. Low squat hold till everyone is done.
1st rep: 10 dips
2nd rep: 20 step ups
3rd rep: 15 erkins
4th rep: 10 rail squats
5th rep: 5 derkins
We mosy back to the cones and form a line behind each of the 3 sets of cones. I tease an exercise but have mercy and decide to jog along the cones asking everyone to pick them up as we go. We arrive back to the side of the field near the cars and circle up for 5 min of mary.
