Double Down

A cold and windy start to the day and a slightly tardy start to the workout to make sure that the incredibly detailed exercise papers don’t get blown away. PAX takes a lap. Fortunately Pinky and YHC find some driftwood (or a downed parking barrier) and weigh them down. All set.

 

Warmup

SSH x 50

Mtn Climber x 15

Windmill x 15

Imperial Walker x 15

 

The Thang: Partner up and start at a station. Each station has 2 different exercises. Do 1 of the 1st exercise, 2 of the 2nd exercise (except for the tire, that’s just heavy). Run to the next station. After one cycle through all stations, move to 2 and 4, then 3 and 6 etc.

Pullups and Merkins

Burpees and Squats

Sandbag Overhead press and Step Back lunge

Sandbag Shoulder-to-Shoulder and Rubio

Star jump and LBC

Tire flip

Toes-to-bar on pullup bar and Overhead Clap

Continue rotations until we reach the 5 & 10 round. PAX takes a lap. Last round of 5 and 10 at the station where you left off. On to Mary.

PAX will never know the true origins of the wood and why it was there. Was it a sign? Did we disrupt the space-time continuum because Double Dutch and Double Humpee partnered up on a workout that involved doubling the reps of exercises? Was it the Ghost of Dr Merkin? Did Beeper King arrive early for an EC Kung Fu workout? I guess we’ll just never know.
