1 bucket of pain sucks

2 really suck

3 in one workout is terrible and the most we have done to date

So today we did 4 (although to be fair the exercises in said buckets weren’t as monstrous as in the past)

 

Here is how it went down….

5:20 Dunphy shows up in the Garage trying to shave off a little of the warm up run from the parking lot to the deck. I sent him back to the parking lot.

5:25 Cat Scratch pulls up to the parking lot…which is crazy early for him. He normally arrives too late for mumble chatter before the workout…but he starts in early on me already.

5:29 Puffs racing across the bridge to make it on time, only to have to wait for Commodore to slowly pull in to the lot.

13 PAX assembled (and 1 FNG hidden amongst them that we didn’t realize for another 10 minutes).

We head to the tennis courts for a warmup….as we are doing our increasing intensity SSH (50) another car pulls up. 14 PAX. We do 2 rounds of circle planks (first to the right, then to the left). Rubios (30). Thats enough.

We jog over to the deck and up to the top floor. At this point we realized the late PAX was not an FNG, but we did in fact have a hidden FNG in the bunch. Short disclaimed — if you get hurt, sue Dunphy.

4 buckets are prearranged with a home base in the center (similar to the 4 corners routines we have done in the past).

Bucket #1 — merkins (with clicker boards). Role the dice…multiple by 10 and that is the number of merkins to crank out. They don’t count unless your chest hits the board.

Bucket #2 — Bucket o’25. (eg. 25 burpees, 25 double count SS, 25 double count Monkey Humpers, 25 double count LBCs, etc).

Bucket #3 — Run down the ramp to 5th floor and back — “choices” are once, twice or thrice.

Bucket #4 — Roll dice. 4-6 run down to 4,5, or 6 floors (depending on the roll). 1-3 bear crawl down 1,2, or 3 floors then run back up.

After completion of the bucket run back to the home base. Perform 10 burpees then go on to the next bucket. Halfway through we switched to 15 big boys. Except for Cat Scratch who apparently wanted more burpees so he and I continued with the burpees.

With 6 minutes left we stopped for Mary. Without a break we did LBCs, Dying cockroaches (25), Flutter kicks (25), Penguin crunches (25) and LBCs (25).

 

A good time was had by all. Warning about not looking at the sun today. Dunphy made an announcement about donating to F3 Nation to help defer the cost of new launches (which are constantly happening). He sent out a link if you want to donate.

We almost forgot to name the FNG…oops. We had no real dirt on this FNG…so when we went through standard questions nothing popped out. Until he said his first concert was ZZ Top. How could you not name a 6ft-3-ish FNG who likes ZZ Top Legs. Puffs suggested replacing the S with a Z. I assume this will make it look more bad ass when he gets his F# name tattooed on his knuckles…Just a thought.
