We all love elevator weights

I arrived first – drove through a blizzard to get there (Yes they cancelled my kids school, so you know it was legit).  After parking and unloading/hiding the elevator weights (80 lbs each), I see all of the cars going to the parking deck – I guess they are hoping to avoid a beat down in the snow-dusted field.  I decide to join them knowing that we’d be back.

We all run back to the original AO to meet up with 3-4 stragglers who can’t figure out where to park.  After all of the chicks have been gathered safely under our wings, the party begins:

Warm-up:
Run the length of the football field a few times to loosen up – After all, it is 28F, and one of us is wearing shorts.  Afterwards we circle:

AV x 10 IC

The Thang
part 1:
Four stations:  Change positions when #2 is finished the course

1) BTTW
2) serpentine Army Crawl under guard rail
3) People’s chair
4) Squats
(Rinse & Repeat)

part 2:
We all run over to the rip rap embankment to find an appropriately sized coupon.  Afterwards we all job to the starting line (aka where the elevator weights have been hiding)

2 teams – 4 PAX per team.  3 members of the team perform 3 rock-holding burpees (there was a fair bit of variance in the weights/sizes of some of these rocks…just sayin’) and the fourth member carries the elevator weight as far as he can while running backwards until the team mates catch up.  At this time all members perform squats (with their respective coupons) until the last member arrives.  Rotate positions until all members have had the pleasure of running with the weights twice (about 300 yards)

part 3:
PAX lie in a circle (yes, on the cold ground) with coupons overhead.  Coupon lowered overhead to the ground and back up, then to chest and back up = 1 hard count.  10 count performed.  Pass coupon to your left.  Repeat.  Pass coupon to your left. Repeat.  Pass coupon to your left. Rock press x 10.  Hold coupon (I liked the weight of mine). Repeat.
