Up on the rooftop

10 PAX showed up on a frosty morning to sweat out all the food and cookies that will consumed in the next 72 hours.

We tag-teamed the warm up. Twitch led with SSH IC. Pinky followed with Squats. Twitch called Willy Mays Hays. Pinky forced everyone to follow with 15 forward arm circles, 30 reverse arm circles and 45 overhead arm claps. Them Twitch countered with Imperial walkers. Pinky called merkins IC. Twitch instructed everyone to do windmills. Pinky followed with a new one for F3 Roanoke….roll over merkins (Lots of grumbling about this. First they whined that the pavement was too hard and too rough. Pinky countered with “Lets move to the frosty grass.” No takers. Then they whined about there poor little elbows hurting. Tough christmas cookies. Then they whined that we weren’t counting reps. Note to PAX, that was your job… Pinky was calling the ups, downs and rolls. So we started over at 1 and went to 10, but it must have been more like 20-25).

Then Twitch took over and set up a circuit for us….there was a little confusion at the start but it was an elevator that went like this…triceps extensions, thrusters with sandbag or kettle bell, lunges (Twitches fav), pull-ups then a lap around the drive way. We started with 2 and climbed to 8.

When everyone was good and tired, Pinky took over. Note: this is never a good combo. Dunphy made some remarks that Pinky would go easy on everyone to get into Santa’s good graces. Pinky took a different approach and donned a Santa hat, made the PAX pair up, and called out SANTA bombs to get into Kris Kringle’s graces. Santa works up on the roof tops….we did’t have any of those, so we improvised. PAX took turns running to the highest point…the top top top of the parking lots. Partners stayed at the bottom of the hill and performed the exercises below:

S – Slow merkins

A – American hammer

N – Newton’s craddles

T – Triple merkin burpees

A – Alphabet leg lifts

Favorite quote while we suffered: “Damn, the running is usually the easy part of the bombs. This sucks.”

Yes it did. Merry Christmas to all.

And welcome FNG ABBA
