“Buckle Your Shoe” – Mountain BOMBS

It’s a good thing that I drove past the Mon/Wed/Sat AO on my way to #Overlander (not my normal route) because I saw a pinky-mobile sitting in the lot.  I pull in next to him, roll down the window and yell:

Me: “Overlander!”

Pinky: “Oh Yeah”

Me: “Let’s Go!”

We arrive at the appropriate AO to find — Nobody.

Warmup:

  • SSH x 40 IC
  • Merkins x 10 IC
  • Abe Vigoda x 10 IC
  • Arm Circles x 30 IC
  • Reverse Arm Circles x 30 IC

The Thang:

I thought it was a small hill – turns out it’s not. 60 yards up and steep!

Partner Up.  Hmm…who should I pick?  One performs the exercise, the other runs up the hill and back.

  • Burpees x 50
  • Overhead claps x 100
  • Merkins x 150 (Derkins – head downhill)
  • Big Boy Sit-ups x 200 (attempted to do these with feet uphill, but that didn’t work – too steep)
  • Squats x 250 (turns out that running up a hill after squats is horrible)

Lost count of how many times I ran up that hill…all the time thinking about what I might have been doing if I hadn’t stopped to get Pinky.
