Vortex Valley

8 PAX answered the bell this morning in a cool rain.  YHC took inspiration from Assisi’s Rainy Four Corners at Vortex in Chapel Hill yesterday, although this was the parking deck version (and we didn’t quite finish).  I said there would be spilled merlot today, and although there wasn’t, YHC was darn close.

We immediately ran to the parking deck and “airplaned” to the level 1.

Warm Up:  SSH x25, IW x25, WMH x10, WM x10 all IC

The Thang:

Partner up (for accountability), when you are waiting for your partner, low squat hold.  50-90% up ramp then 100% sprint across deck to level 2, then 20 burpees.  Recovery jog to level 3.  Single count:  40 merkins, 35 squats, 30 merkins, 25 squats in unison (mostly).

Same partner rules apply:  (1) Bear Crawl to pilon, then run up ramp (3 to 4), 20 tuck jumps.  (2) Sprint full length, 20 Carolina Dry Docks.  (3) Crab Walk to pilon, then run up ramp, 20 jump lunges.  (4) Backward run, 10 double merkin burpees.  Finished on level 5.

Back down to G for Bring Sally Up:  Round One was Low Squat Hold, Round Two was Low/High Plank.
